Accreditation Status

91´«Ã½ is by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 331 J Street, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95814, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

Message from the College Accreditation Liaison Officer

In January 2010, the  of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC) awarded 91´«Ã½â€™s initial accreditation. With ACCJC’s action and subsequent endorsement by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors, 91´«Ã½ became the 112 community college in the state.

Accreditation is a system of voluntary peer review designed to ensure that an institution of higher education meets, sustains, and improves upon established standards of quality. It is a process by which accreditors provide students and the public with assurances of institutional integrity, quality, and effectiveness.  

91´«Ã½ supports and participates in institutional accreditation. Questions or comments about Accreditation at 91´«Ã½ can be directed to the College Accreditation Liaison Officer, Dr. Tenisha James.

Third Party Comment

91´«Ã½ is currently preparing for its comprehensive accreditation review by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). In accordance with ACCJC policy, the College is providing an opportunity for members of the campus community and the public to submit third-party comments regarding the College’s ability to meet ACCJC Accreditation Standards. Third-party comments are considered by the Commission as part of the comprehensive peer review process and should address matters related to the institution’s compliance with ACCJC Standards, Eligibility Requirements, and Commission policies. Comments must be submitted directly to ACCJC through the Commission’s online third-party comment form, available at: . To ensure consideration during the accreditation review process, comments should be received by ACCJC no later than five weeks prior to the peer review team’s focused site visit.
